Maroro has termed the speculations as a joke of the century.

The representative in an interview with this writer on Friday said that Mudavadi is a liability who would not assist Odinga in winning the presidency.

“Honestly I don’t see Mudavadi as someone who can help my party leader as such because he is a liability. Reports that they are planning to team up are just but jokes of the century. ODM should look for bigger names that can help it clinch presidency and Mudavadi is not such a name," said Maroro.

The lawmaker said that Mudavadi's western backyard has always been behind Odinga and therefore the former vice president will not bring any change.

According to Maroro, Odinga should invade Jubilee and lure Deputy President William Ruto to make his 2017 plans a reality.

“In politics all one needs is numbers and that is why as ODM we have to hit Jubilee from inside. The DP is a nice catch up and could add numbers to our team. Politics has no permanent enmity and time has come to reach him,” he said.

The two leaders are believed to be in talks over a possible coalition and understandably met recently in USA during the Democratic Party National Convention.
