Uasin Gishu County was in 2016 rated amongst the best counties in Kenya, especially in matters development and other activities.

According to the County Secretary Peter Leley, a report released in August by the World Bank rated Uasin Gishu the best investment region.

Speaking during the County's staff end year party, Leley congratulated the staff for their commitment in ensuring residents get the much needed services.

On his part, Deputy governor Daniel Chemno urged residents to preach peace this electioneering year, as campaigns kick-start.

During the event, there was the lighting of governor's tree, as hardworking staff were rewarded.
