Yatta Constituency MP Francis Mwangangi on Tuesday unveiled a new Constituency Development Fund (CDF) vehicle.
Speaking to journalists at Matuu, Mwangangi said the vehicle would ease the routine trips by CDF officers to inspect projects sponsored by them.
“It is a constitutional mandate that every CDF offices ought to have a vehicle hence I pioneered to purchase one of a kind,” said Mwangangi.
He noted that the model can be able to endure different road levels whether hilly or flat.
“The aim of purchasing this vehicle is to be able to reach our people in the most remote areas and therefore support their projects if they qualify after assessment,” notes Mwangangi.
Mwangangi added that he is optimistic that the vehicle will be used well to serve Yatt people.
“Serving people who elected me is a priority in my leadership,” said Mwangangi.
The MP further said that there is plans to build CDF offices in the constituency.
Last week Yatta constituency was able to disburse bursaries fund to the university students.
