A house help accused of kidnapping and attempting to kill her employer's child has pleaded guilty at the Makadara Law Courts.
25-year-old Jacinta Kanini Muia is said to have perpetrated the offence on June 8, 2017, at the Kariobangi South Civil Servants' Estate. She as well pleaded guilty to three other counts.
The court was told that Muia was employed by the child's parents as a house help but later they quarrelled, where she left to stay with her pastor.
From there, Muia planned to kidnap the child from school and took him to her boyfriend's house, where she bought soda and pesticide to kill him.
Chief magistrate Heston Nyaga deferred the sentencing to give her enough time to rethink her plea.
The case will next be mentioned on June 28, 2017.
