DP Ruto addressing residents of Makutano, Kirinyaga county on Wednesday accused Raila for wrongful relation of the biblical Canaan and the alcoholic brew.
"This guy is the fake Joshua and his Canaan is also fake because the Bible says that Canaan is the land of milk and honey yet he is telling Kenyans that his Canaan has Chang'aa," Ruto said.
Ruto's mock remarks comes days after opposition leader Raila Odinga promised that illicit brew will be legalized by a NASA government once opposition forms the next government after August 8 polls.
Raila promised to lead Kenyans to Canaan when he was named NASA presidential candidate.
In a series of the opposition's campaigns, Raila has been comparing himself as the biblical Joshua saying he will deliver Kenyans to Canaan where there will be discrimination.
