Nairobi’s Jubilee governor hopeful Peter Kenneth expressed confidence that he is the best candidate to unseat the incumbent governor Evans Kidero.
Speaking at Redeemed church in Huruma, Sunday, where he attended a church service, the former Gatundu Member of Parliament accused Kidero of performing poorly in the city for the last four years.
“When you come to this church just through Juja road, garbage one side, garbage the other side. I still hope after four years of seeing nothing I can see governor OdhhiamboKidero doing something little. So there is nothing I can see that he has done,” Keneth said.
Kenneth and Kidero recently shared a podium at a church in Nairobi where the ODM governor cautioned Kenneth to be careful with his move saying he started from the presidency seat, now he wants the governor’s post and soon he might be vying for the Member of County Assembly position.
‘Team Nairobi’ who includes Bishop Margaret Wanjiru, Mike Sonko, Dennis Waweru and Johnson Sakaja is expected to produce one candidate who will battle it out with the former legislature at the Jubilee party nominations.
