Kalonzo said, of recent, Duale has turned an inciter adding that the Garissa Township MP's actions will have to be probed.

The Cord co-principal was speaking in Garissa Primary School in Garissa town on Saturday during a peace meeting convened by the Wiper party.

Duale has been under pressure to explain the origin of a video that recently circulated on social media calling for the eviction of members of the Kamba community from Garissa before the August general election.

It is claimed the person who spoke in the video was Duale.

Duale, however, refuted the claims saying the development was an initiative of his political opponents out to taint his image.

Kalonzo said all Kenyans have the right to live anywhere in the country and calling for the eviction of non-Somalis from Garissa amounted to incitement to violence.

"Any citizen has the freedom, under the supreme law, to live and work anywhere in Kenya and not be discriminated against on tribal basis," he said during the peace rally.

When the video emerged, former Parliament Deputy Speaker Farah Maalim called on NCIC Chairman Francis ole Kaparo to investigate Duale and discipline him.

He said the people of Garissa- locals and non-locals have since time immemorial lived together.

NCIC recently reported that a team of detectives had been dispatched to Garissa to probe the incitement allegations.

Those who attended the rally were Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho, woman representative Mishi Mboko and MPs Makali Mulu (Kitui Central), Marcus Muluvi (Kitui East) and Rashid Bedzimba (Kisauni, ODM).

Kiminini's Chris Wamalwa represented Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetang'ula.
