Eight Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party MPs have accused President Uhuru Kenyatta of defending corrupt people in his government.

Speaking on separate occasions, the MPs similarly asked Deputy President William Ruto to cease fooling the country concerning the Sh5.3 billion ‘Mafia House’ scandal and said that the DP had never made a commitment to combat corruption.

ODM national chairperson and Suba MP John Mbadi led other party leaders to accuse the government of being on a looting spree under protection of the President.

Separately, ODM Secretary-General Agnes Zani while addressing a conference at Orange House said that the president had overseen the theft of more than Sh2 trillion in the country.

The leaders accused Jubilee of becoming synonymous with corruption even after the Deputy President on Saturday declared that the Government would quickly constitute a commission of inquiry to probe the Sh5.3 billion scandal.
