Kitutu Masaba MP Timothy Bosire has been told to stop making a fortune out of his 4 days at Pangani police cells citing there is no heroism in that.
Speaking in Kisii, retired Judge Jackson Simanga said there is no heroism in being detained in police cells.
He said championing the rights and welfare of the citizens is where heroism lies.
He went ahead saying million of Kenyans have spent nights behind bars others totally innocent, meaning we should be branding them heroes. He mocked.
He attacked him further saying he is not special in any way and he should stop boasting about surviving in police cells and should be ashamed that a leader chosen by the people is detained for alleged hate speech.
“It was a distressful and shameful for you to term hate speech allegations heroism. There is no heroism about spending a nights in police cells but more so regretful and shameful," he said.
He hit out at Raila saying he himself understood what is meant by championing the rights of Kenyans and clearly that was contrary to that.
“Raila Odinga should have distanced himself from Bosire whom he outlines as a hero yet he has a pending case in court for allegations of hate speech until he comes out clean. That is the real spirit of patriotism,” he said.
