National Super Alliance (NASA) leaders have said that the low vote coount registered by President Uhuru Kenyatta in the repeat presidential election is evidence that he rigged in the August 8 polls.

ANC leader and NASA presidential chief campaigner Musalia Mudavadi lauded opposition supporters for boycotting the Thursday polls and “exposing the IEBC by proving Uhuru did not win”.

Mudavadi said the low voter turnout that stood at about six million was making it difficult for Uhuru to get the 8.3 million votes he got to clinch the seat against his closest rival Raila Odinga.

“The citizens have finally opened the servers that the IEBC refused to open. The boycott has shown that the so-called numbers and percentages that Jubilee and Uhuru Kenyatta have been talking about were all along fraudulent,” Mudavadi said.

In the August polls, the turnout stood was 14 million out of the 19 million registered voters and Raila garnered 6.7 million votes.
