National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale also condemned calls by the National Super Alliance (NASA) Opposition calling for a boycott on products from specific companies.
Duale said Kenyans must ignore the calls since this was “the biggest threats to Kenyan-owned companies”.He insisted that anyone with an ambition to lead the country must first believe in empowering our homegrown companies trailblazing in terms of succcess.“All Kenyans of goodwill should not fall into NASA’s schemes to create poverty and unemployment because they have proven to be the biggest threat to Kenyan-owned companies and workers,” said Duale.
His sentiments were echoed by the Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM) chairperson Flora Mutahi who termed the Opposition action as saddening.
She said business enterprises should not be dragged into political cross-fires.“We are very disappointed that it had to come to this,” said Ms Mutahi.
