Nairobi senator Mike Mbuvi Sonko has stated that there are no possibilities of Kalonzo being Cord's flag bearer.
He said this while in Kiambu to pledge his support for Kabogo's re-election.
This was a response to his previous remarks about joining Cord if Musyoka is made the opposition's presidential candidate next year.
According to Sonko, the Kamba community and the rest who are in opposition should join the government.
Sonko believes that Ukambani veteran politician and former vice president Kalonzo Musyoka should shift political gears.
According to the Nairobi senator, Kalonzo has to join the ruling Jubilee faction. These sentiments follow demands for the retirement of ODM guardian Raila Odinga.
There are signs of rebellion against the former prime minister from Western, Kisii and in his own backyard. Many believe that he will be on the ballot box next year thus Wetangula and Musyoka have no chance.
They can only do so if Odinga resigns from active politics or they quit Cord. Sonko also subscribes to the same school of thought.
The flamboyant senator has made it clear that he does not fear facing anyone in the city's gubernatorial contest.
He is ready and able to battle out all candidates including the proposed Water Cabinet Secretary Wamalwa.
He also invited every Kenyan to sale his or her policies to Nairobians for a chance to smoke out Evans Kidero in the 2017 general elections.
