Kimilili MP-elect Didmus Barasa has  called on the Opposition to concede defeat since it wil pave way for the country to move forward.

IEBC declared Uhuru winner with 8,203,290 votes, while Raila got 6,762,224.

Barasa has asked NASA’s Raila Odinga to hand over to a younger leader.

He has argued that Raila cannot match up to the young Jubilee leadership.

"The Opposition needs a renewed and young energy that measures up to that of Ruto. The likes of Raila and Kalonzo [Musyoka] can't measure his strategies," he told The Star on Saturday.

Barasa noted that Jubilee won fairly in the Tueday polls.
