Speaking at St Vincent Omwari secondary school on Sunday, Opore said that aspirants seeking the seat should stop criticising his leadership in the constituency.

"Criticising my leadership will not make them win elections. They should instead initiate development projects in the region to win votes," he said.

"Remember what you do to your fellow will as well be done to you. So those criticising my leadership should expect to be criticised when their time will come," added Opore.

The Jubilee MP argued that some opponents didn't even vote him but now they are out tainting his name.

"Many of the aspirants never voted me in 2013 others never voted in this constituency. I wonder why they are always criticising the leader they never voted for," he posed.

He urged locals to re-elect him to frustrate the opponents in 2017.
