Kanduyi MP Wafula Wamunyinyi has punched holes in the development record of Bungoma governor Ken Lusaka, saying that he (governor) has ridiculed the residents with empty promises.
According to the lawmaker, the governor has misplaced his priorities and he has not lived to the expectations of Bungoma people.
Speaking on Friday at Butieli Primary School in his constituency, Wamunyinyi made a sensational claim that the Lusaka administration has been painted as the most corrupt in the country for having procured goods at inflated prices.
"As Bungoma residents, we elected Lusaka owing to his track record as the Livestock PS only for us to realise that it was a very bad mistake," Wamunyinyi said as quoted by the Star.
The legislator said that he would not sit back and watch Lusaka and his officials embezzle county funds.
"We have had close to Sh30 billion brought to this county since he took over as the governor. There is no tangible project that we can be proud of his regime as Bungoma people", he added.
Lusaka has however denied allegations of corruption and asked the public to evaluate the projects his government has done.
