Kiarie said that Duale, who is defending his seat, has no mandate to speak about independent candidates.

The lawmaker argued that Duale, a strong supporter of President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William, does not know much about the politic dynamics of this nation.

“We feel pain when we see people like Aden Duale, who do not understand Kenya’s politics, rising to say he does not recognise independent candidates,” Kiarie said, as quoted by Star.

Independent candidates have continued to cause political storms in the nation after they agreed to work as a team after losing during nominations.

President Kenyatta and Cord leader Raila Amolo Odinga have made it clear that they will not campaign for independent candidates as they contest for different seats.

The team of independent candidates includes incumbents Governors and seating MP who lost to new comers during the polls.

The leaders have insisted that they won nominations only to be rigged out. Some of them have pledged to campaign for Kenyatta and Odinga, a move that has continued to elicit mixed reactions from all corners of the nation.
