Mbui said the Maendeleo Chap Chap party leader dug his own political grave and should accept his political fate.

Speaking to journalists at Parliament Buildings in Nairobi on Tuesday, the Wiper MP said Mutua messed himself the moment he quit Wiper party and betrayed former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka.

The legislator stated that Mutua was ungrateful after winning the Machakos gubernatorial seat in 2013.

“Mutua should stop crying and lamenting because he is the author of the political woes facing him now,” Mbui said.

The Kathiani lawmaker said Mutua disrespected Kalonzo and other Kamba politicians who nurtured him to politics.

He said Mutua’s political career is done and dusted.

Mbui said the Supreme Court will not save the Maendeleo Chap Chap governor.

“Mutua should accept the court of appeal verdict and prepare for the ballot and wait for Machakos residents voice that will send him where he belongs,” Mbui said.

Mbui said Machakos people have allegedly suffered under Mutua’s leadership.

Mutua is staring at a possibility of plunging into political oblivion after the court of appeal nullified his election.

On Friday last week, the Court of Appeal's Judge William Ouko ordered for fresh gubernatorial election in Machakos on grounds that the August 8, 2017 poll was not free and fair.

The court ruled that the gubernatorial results for Machakos announced by the returning officer could not be verified and also lacked constitutional test.

Mutua and IEBC were ordered to pay for the cost of the appeal that had been lodged by former Kathiani MP Wavinya Ndeti.

Mutua has since appealed the court of appeal ruling in the Supreme Court.

Political pundits argue that Mutua might face an uphill task in retaining the seat in case of a by-election.

On  Tuesday, the Machakos County Assembly voted to impeach Mutua.
