Nyamira County residents elected a failure to serve as a governor, former Nyamira County governor aspirant Walter Nyambati has said.
According to Nyambati, Nyamira residents will suffer under the leadership of Governor John Nyagarama.
The Jubilee politician said the ODM leadership in the county is poor and no tangible development will be realized in the next 5 years.
“Residents of Nyamira should blame themselves because they elected a failure to serve as governor.
"Nyagarama has been missing crucial meetings organized by county elected MPs to discuss the development in the county because he knows well he can’t perform,” he said.
Nyambati pleaded with county MCAs to be on high alert so that Nyagarama may not embezzle public funds.
“MCAs should not fall into the tricks of Governor Nyagarama to divert development funds to his own pocket.
"The ward representatives are the only hope Nyamira people have to ensure funds sent from the national government are not misused or misappropriated by Nyagarama and his Deputy Amos Nyaribo,” he said.
