Nakuru County Assembly Speaker Susan Kihika has reached out to opponents in fresh efforts to capture the county’s senate seat in 2017.

Kihika asked former Subukia MP Koigi wa Wamwere to support her bid.

“My father and friend Koigi, who battled it out with my father in the 1970s, I ask you to now support your daughter for the senatorial seat. Just support your small daughter so she can capture the seat,” Kihika said.

Koigi has announced he will vie for senator on a Jubilee party (JP).

Others in the Nakuru senate race include businessman Karanja Kabage and Paul Mwithaga.
