In an interview with the People Daily on Friday, Shurie exuded confidence of trouncing Aden.
He criticized Aden’s leadership claiming that he has done little to better the living standards of residents.
The Jubilee Party MP hopeful claimed that Aden has been an absentee lawmaker.
Mr Shurie further criticized the incumbent saying that he has been quite in Parliament and failed to push for the interests of locals.
“Aden is a failure and does not deserve another term and rather should prepare himself for political retirement,” he said.
Shurie asked residents to support his bid promising to push for job creation and eradication of poverty.
He also promised to push for inclusion of locals in administration of county affairs.
Aden is seeking for another term on ODM party ticket and has exuded confidence that locals will endorse him for another term on August 8.
