The Friday move has aroused mixed reactions among the opposition insiders, with the remaining co-principals Musalia Mudavadi, Moses Wetangula and Kalonzo Musyoka disregarding it, citing exclusion.

Speaking during a fundraiser at the Njoro AIC church in Nakuru county on Sunday, the Jubilee lawmaker termed Odinga's step as a clever calculation, saying that he might have deliberately left his counterparts in the dark.

Ngunjiri observed that the three are victims of trickery, noting that they have been shortchanged as the former Prime Minister seeks to achieve his political ambitions.

"Politics is a dirty game and you have to always be alert to avoid landing on the receiving end. Our colleagues in the opposition have been shortchanged and they have to admit that they have been outsmarted," said the vocal leader.

His comments were echoed by his Nakuru Town East counterpart David Gikaria, who, however, observed that Odinga was quite justified to take the route.

Gikaria termed the same as an outcome of an earlier decision by the three to skip the former Prime Minister's mock presidential inauguration held on January 30.

"They should have expected that as they too did an almost similar thing by avoiding Raila's big event in Uhuru Park," noted Gikaria.

The alliance is yet to reach an agreement with regards to the new unfolding.
