Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has termed the defection by some members to the new Jubilee Party as consequential.
The Wiper leader says that the defection of some members to President Uhuru Kenyatta’s party marks an end to their political careers.
According to Kalonzo the chances of the defiant MPs being re-elected in 2017 are very thin.
He said that Ukambani is an opposition stronghold and that the MPs and other members who have defected to Jubilee have no chance of surviving the onslaught come 2017.
“Those who have ditched Wiper and crossed to Jubilee have committed their political suicide because their chances of being elected on Jubilee ticket are dim,” he said on phone.
Musyoka said that Ukambani will not vote for Jubilee government in 2017 and also refuted claims by a section of Jubilee politicians that he is headed to Jubilee party.
The former VP said that crossing over to Jubilee Party will never be an option for him.
“Some people are already speculating that I want to join Jubilee party which is not true,” he said.
Kalonzo said that he is Cord to stay adding that he is confident of being endorsed by the coalition as its flag bearer in 2017.
A section of Jubilee Party politicians has been claiming that Kalonzo and Bungoma senator Moses Wetangula are on their way to the new Jubilee Party.
