Machakos Governor Dr Alfred Mutua has hit out at Cord leader Raila Odinga accusing him of allegedly inciting Kenyans against the ruling Jubilee government.

Mutua claims that Raila’s continued criticism of the ruling Jubilee government is not objective.

The Governor states that Raila needs to engage the government objectively as an opposition leader.

“What we are seeing Raila do is out of order, he has failed as an opposition leader,” said Mutua on Thursday at Daraja Mbili Market in Kisii County.

The Machakos governor who is on a tour of the Kisii and Kericho region to popularize his Maendeleo Chap Chap Movement further accused Raila of engaging in too much rhetoric.

He said that Raila’s rhetoric has not helped improve the lives of Kenyans.

“Raila needs to stop too much rhetoric and support the government in addressing issues facing Kenyans,” he added.

Meanwhile, Governor Mutua has urged voters to elect development oriented leaders in the forthcoming general elections.

Mutua says that the country needs leaders who are development conscious to push the country agenda forward.

He said that the country will achieve its development agenda if right people are elected as leaders.

The Governor claimed that Kenyans have been denied development by selfish leaders.

“It is time for Kenyans to sit back and reflect on the kind of leaders they want and make sure that they elect leaders who will push for development,” he said.

The Machakos Governor said that the country has resources to benefit every Kenyan but blamed selfish politicians for only thinking about their interests.
