Ngewa Member of County Assembly (MCA) Karungo Thang’wa’ has hit out at Kiambu Governor William Kabogo, saying the governor has not achieved anything for Kiambu people since he was elected as governor in 2013.
In an interview on KTN on Monday, the MCA said that Kabogo has no interest in Kiambu people, adding that the county is among those that still lag behind in development despite getting hefty funding from the national government.
“I can tell you for free that Governor Kabogo is not the best for Kiambu,” he said during the interview.
The MCA said that locals had lost faith in Kabogo for failing to advance people’s development interests, adding that he was riding on projects being implemented by the national government.
“Governor (Kabogo) should explain and outline what he has been able to achieve so far as the Kiambu Governor. Kiambu people are getting tired with this kind of leadership because they are not benefiting from it,” he added.
Thang’wa, who is a critic of Kabogo also accused the governor of not pushing for youth development agenda.
Several leaders including Kabete lawmaker Ferdinand Waititu have been accusing Kabogo of failing on development, saying he is ignorant and selfish.
