According to the lawmakers, Namwamba is inconsequential, something they termed as the 'last kicks of a dying donkey'.

In a statement on Monday, Namwamba said he has done a lot of groundwork and that his 'Third Force' would have massive impact in the two regions where ODM is enjoys a huge following.

However, speaking to a local daily on Tuesday in reference to Mr Namwamba, Nyando MP Fred Outa, Rarieda's Nicholas Gumbo, Simba Arati of Dagoreti North, Peter Kaluma of Homa Bay town and Opiyo Wandayi of Ugunja said the former ODM Secretary General was a 'nobody' in as far as challenging ODM is concerned.

They claimed Mr Namwamba had been bribed to rock the opposition as the country prepares for the 2017 elections.

According to Mr Mbadi, Mr Namwamba is on a mission to impress his masters after it claims emerged that he had been given money to rock the party from within.

"If Mr Namwamba was not bought and and is not working with Jubilee as he claims, then the so called 'Third Force' would not be fighting with opposition but with people in power," Mbadi said.

On his part, Mr Kaluma said that Mr Namwamba cannot kill ODM.
