Machakos Senator Muthama Johnstone has told off DP Ruto for allegedly dismissing the opposition's proposed team that will represent the Cord coalition in dialogue over the controversial electoral body.
Reacting to Ruto's amusing sentiments, Senator Muthama termed the DP's remarks as very unfortunate in the present era of unlimited democracy.
"It is very sad and so unfortunate that DP Ruto opted to belittle other national leaders who were also elected like him. It was a personal show that he believes he even has full monopoly over other people's opinions," stated the vocal Cord Senator.
Regarding the persistent IEBC standoff, Muthama blamed William Ruto for being a stumbling block in the much-sought dialogue.
During the national breakfast prayers in Safari Park Hotel on Friday, Ruto was quoted making fun of the opposition's five-member bench that has already been revealed to spearhead dialogue over electoral reforms with the government.
He had singled out Muthama and Mishi Mboko, noting that they were people who would never engage in any serious talks.
