Days after Duale's bill on party hopping was discarded by Members of Parliament, the Garissa Township legislator has now turned his anger on Budalangi MP Ababu Namwamba, accusing him of lacking moral authority to have a say about party hopping.
Duale claims that Ababu is still in a concerted process of hip-hopping from ODM, and so far has never landed in a new party to satisfy his political ego.
Speaking in parliament, Duale said Ababu did not have any moral mandate to talk about the matter as he was its apparent poster child.
“When I see Ababu Namwamba speaking about party hopping, I pity him. Even as we speak, he is still hopping and has not landed any. He has just hopped from ODM and he has never found out a place for his next landing,” said Duale.
The bill that was sponsored by Aden Duale sought to tame politicians against hopping from one party to another in the event that they are knocked out during the party primaries.
However, the MPs deleted the section to cushion themselves even as the elections draw nearer.
