Self-declared National Resistance Movement Miguna Miguna is now viewed as a hero in Kisumu town.
A section of the locals noted that his tribulations have made him the people’s hero, who fights against government injustices and police brutality.
The residents felt that Miguna is a strong man and deserved opposition leader Raila Odinga's seat in the Nyanza region.
They noted that Miguna is a real leader who feared no one and criticized the government to a point where they feared him.
“I think we have just found the right replacement for Raila. We had been looking for one to fit his shoe. I say Miguna has officially replaced Raila Odinga,” Vincent Otina said.
They noted that the self-declared general has demonstrated unwavering intolerance to unjust government and oppression to its people.
“Evans Kidero seemed to have been the favorite candidate to replace Raila but now we have seen how one man, Miguna can shake the nation and we say it’s you,” Wycliffe Onyalo stated.
Others accused Raila of joining Miguna Miguna oppressors.
“Baba has joined the oppressors of the truths and justice and is dining with them while he does nothing to save Miguna from his woes,” another resident opined.
