National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale together with Garissa NYS team and the local administration has given a 10 day period to pay the 141 NYS youth their dues.
Duale who was speaking in Garissa Library Grounds said the administration would pay the youth their due and increase the input machinery for the exercise.
“Together with local the administration, we give a 10 days period to pay the 141 youth who have not received their 4 months dues and increase the inputs of machinery exercise,” said the law maker.
The NYS youth where given an opportunity to outline the challenges they face where the majority leader alongside the county administration promised to address them.
The women and youth are involved in the NYS Slum Upgrading Program work for 5 days a week and receive Sh1650 per week and Sh705 goes into their saving Sacco.
The NYS Slum upgrading program covers Central and Korakora division of Garissa County.
The majority leader further congratulated the youth for the good work they do to conserve the environment. He further pledged full government support in order to create more job opportunities for the youth.
