Residents of Riana in Bonchari have expressed their anger with area MP for failing them in the last 15 years.
Speaking at Riana tea buying center, the residents said that the ongoing intimidation from goons hired by Opore is a clear indication that the legislator has sensed defeat in 2017.
"Opore comes from Riana area and to date, the place has not developed. He promised to expand the market but nothing has changed since the 90s," said Justus Ogora.
Gilbert Ombati noted that in the recent occasions where Opore has been invited, his goons have been injuring people.
"A good leader should listen to what people want done. Only a few are benefiting from his leadership yet we all voted him. He should stop intimidating youths who instead should ensure they get jobs and financial support to start a business. Why is he hiring youths to injure people who voted him," remarked Ombati.
"We will not sit and watch the poor leadership in Bonchari. There are many people who will lead our constituency and not the current MP. He has sensed defeat in 2017. People are tired of his leadership, 15 years but nothing has been done for the people," said Martha Mokora.
