Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho has said ODM is a strong party which cannot be moved by politicians decamping.
Joho said politicians leaving ODM have personal interests to fulfill.
He spoke while addressing journalists in Mombasa as the county prepares to host the '10 At 10' event in celebration of ODM's ten years of existence on Saturday.
"To a few leaders who want to move out and those who have moved out, it's really up to them, we are not worried, we are not shaken," he said.
"So don’t create a hullabaloo of one or two people who choose to leave."
He said 50 politicians currently allied to Jubilee will soon join Cord.
"You will be surprised by the number of those deep in Jubilee right now and how many of them actually want to come to ODM," the governor said.
"Even those who are holding nominated positions."
Joho is among politicians who have remained loyal to Cord and ODM leader Raila Odinga.
He spoke as a section of MPs from Coast region indicate their willingness to work with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Notable legislators from the region who have broken rank with Cord and ODM include Kilifi North MP Gideon Mungaro, Kwale Women Rep Zainabu Chidzuga and Likoni MP Khatib Mwashetani.
During Uhuru's tour of the Coast recently, Kwale Governor Salim Mvurya also said he would work with the government.
