Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya has asked DP William Ruto to respect NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga.
According to Oparanya, Raila is not in Ruto’s league.
The governor was addressing a campaign rally at Lwandeti market, Lugari constituency, on Tuesday.
“Raila has dedicated his political lifetime fighting for democracy in Kenya, and yet Ruto who has done nothing for Kenyans keeps hurling insults at him as though he is his equal,” he said.
Oparanya said Ruto was Raila’s deputy in ODM and abandoned the cause to fight for Kenyans to join President Uhuru Kenyatta.
“Let him [Ruto] tell Kenyans what he has done for them for the period he has been in politics other than grabbing people’s land,” he said.
Jubilee and NASA top leaders have been engaged in a war of words during the entire campaign period.
