Four politicians aligned to the National Super Alliance (NASA) have asked National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale to desist from attacking their presidential candidate, Raila Amolo Odinga.
Otiende Amollo (Rarieda), Chris Karan (Ugenya), Elisha Odhiambo (Gem) and Sam Atandi (Alego Usonga) said that Duale has been disrespecting Raila, adding that they will no longer take it lying.
“Duale must know how to respect Raila. I will deal with him personally unlike in the last Parliament where he spoke freely against Raila,’ added Karan as quoted by Star.
The leaders said that the recent attack on Raila by the lawmaker after the opposition leader requested for financial support ahead of the fresh polls were taken too far.
Duale, a fierce critic of Raila, had said: "They are coming with a pay bill number. We are telling Kenyans to ignore these fraudsters. We expect them to go to the people and prepare themselves for the election."
In the meantime, the opposition leaders have maintained that they will not go into another poll if the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) is not disbanded. The leaders have expressed lack of confidence in the commission.
