A court has ordered seven police officers to testify in a case against some five suspects accused of using violence to rob President Uhuru Kenyatta’s guard an official escort car.
The incident happened three years ago.
Nairobi chief magistrate Francis Andayi gave the summons after he was informed that the seven accused could not be reached via phone.
According to prosecutors, the officers intentionally failed to show up even after being served.
The case will next be heard on June 19.
