Political analysts Barrack Muluka and Herman Manyora have slammed President Uhuru Kenyatta, after he claimed Kalonzo Musyoka wants to be a senator.
Uhuru said Kalonzo, who is the Nasa presidential running mate, had submitted his name through his Wiper Party, so as to be nominated as the senator, if Nasa loses, in the August 8 elections. The analysts, said Uhuru had lowered himself over this, saying he should engage in constructive politics.According to Manyora, the president engaged in petty politics, by saying Kalonzo wants to be a senator, which according to him, is impossible, constitutionaly.
"The president went astray by engaging in baseles politcs. It is impossible for Kalonzo to be nominated to any parliamentary seat. The constitution does not allow him," said Manyora.
"In fact, the president should be keen at times, on what he says, It'll cost him his votes. He should be able to tell us where he saw the name of Kalonzo being submitted by Wiper. Does he has proof," added Muluka.
The duo were speaking on Citizen TV's Game Plan 2017, Sunday night, alongside Jennifer Shammala, and Gabriel Muthuma.
