The Jubilee Party candidate for the Kitui Central parliamentary seat Moses Bsanda has warned locals against voting for Opposition coalition NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga during the forthcoming general elections.
Speaking in his backyard earlier in the week, the parliamentary hopeful challenged the residents to instead support the reelection of President Uhuru Kenyatta, arguing that the Lower Eastern region stands to reap big from the Jubilee administration.
“Kambas must not follow the euphoria associated to NASA political alliance and lose the chance in the next government of President Uhuru Kenyatta. There is neither pride or gain in being outside the mainstream government," he said.
He further pledged to deliver over 10,000 votes for President Kenyatta from his constituency during the August elections.
Bsanda also asked his constituents go shun handouts from politicians, saying: "People are poor because they have accepted cash handouts from dishonest politicians who later obsess with recouping the money they give out at the expense of serving voters,"
