Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho on Tuesday took his re-election campaigns to Nyali constituency where he defended his development record since coming into office four years ago.
While addressing Mkomani residents, Joho whose tenure has come under scrutiny said that despite the many challenges he has faced in the running of the county, a lot of development has been realized in the county's six sub-counties.He named infrastructural development as the hallmark of his administration. On the education sector, Joho said the primary schools milk programmes which he rolled out has helped ensure that school-going children do not drop out of school. While exuding confidence of retaining his seat, Joho said his re-election will be a walkover as his development record will earn him a second term in office. The ODM deputy party leader further dismissed his rivals saying they stand no chance to be elected as they have nothing tangible to show for their time in office. He further called on residents to vote peacefully and responsibly during the August elections.
