Nyanza Regional Coordinator Wilson Njenga has threatened to sack administrators who have shown no efforts in eradicating illicit brew and crime in their areas of jurisdiction.
Addressing chiefs and their assistants in Nyamira on Tuesday, Njenga said that those who were unable to end the vices had no reason of retaining their position and jobs in the government.
“If you can’t eradicate these vices in your area, then you have no business being in the service, you would be in a better position if you intensified the operations to ensure that crime and illicit brews are a thing of the past n your areas,” said Njenga.
He added that the government would continue to embarrass in public non performing chiefs, after two chief wa sacked during a public baraza by Interior Principal Secretary a fortnight ago, although the chiefs have since been reinstated.
“We won’t stop embarrassing you because you would have already embarrassed yourself by not living to your mandate, if you have failed its simple, we won’t have sympathy on you, you will be shown the door,” added Njenga.
At the same time, the coordinator warned the officers against misuse of government funds allocated to their respective offices, saying they were fully accountable for any misuse.
