President Uhuru Kenyatta on Wednesday officially commissioned Nyamira County Referral Hospital to level 5 during his official visit of the county since hew ascended to power.
Uhuru said that Nyamira residents will now be able to receive better healthcare in their home county.
"Nyamira residents, you can now get better health services here at your county hospital than hovering around other counties for treatment," said the president.
He also thanked the Nyamira County government for fully investing in health by buying the machines that help in treatment like the CT SCAN since the the health sector was fully devolved from the national government to county government.
The president, accompanied by his deputy, was on a tour to commission government projects in Nyamira County, where they commissioned Nyamira level 5 hospital, Kebirigo-Mosobeti road and Ekerubo Gietai polytechnic university.
