National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale has warned the opposition outfit NASA not to expect rise in its numbers after what he termed as political rejects and defectors teamed up with it.
He said the ruling coalition will carry the day come August 8 and the opposition will lose terribly. He attacked individuals ditching Jubilee for NASA labeling them as political rejects with no backyard support.
“I want to tell the Opposition leader that receiving defectors and political rejects won’t help them in any way, do not look for excuses but tell Kenyans what you have for them,” said Mr Duale.
Mr Duale spoke in a rally while in campaign trail in his Garissa Township constituency backyard on Monday. He is defending his seat against former deputy speaker Farah Maalim.
While he drummed up support for his reelection he also took time to campaign for both the president and his deputy. He called upon the people of Garissa and larger north eastern province to vote for the two.
He said the Jubilee administration had initiated substantial development projects in the area which will spar economic development of the region. He named Nunow-Modogashe road as one of the roads being tarmacked among others.
The Majority Leader also asked the resident s to be peaceful welcoming all those seeking their votes during these campaigns.
“When they seek your votes please welcome them in peace but tell them that we will vote for Majority Leader who brought us development,” he said.
