Nyali MP seat hopeful Mohamed Ali has urged youth in the constituency to vote for him in the August 8 general election promising to spearhead their interests.

The former KTN Investigative reporter said young people and Nyali residents will not regret if they endorse him as their next MP on August 8.He promised to tackle unemployment if he clinches the seat, arguing that lack of jobs remains a serious challenge facing young people in the constituency.“I want to appeal to young people to endorse my election because as an MP I will put their interests first,” said Ali, as quoted by the Standard.He also pledged to push for stiffer laws that will tame drug trafficking in Mombasa as well as push for empowerment of women and Persons Living with Disabilities (PLWD) if elected.He hit out at the incumbent, MP Hezron Awiti, accusing him of not addressing the plight of marginalized groups.Meanwhile, Ali has urged youth to shun politicians perpetuating violence.He asked youth to remain peaceful and be ambassadors of peace as the country nears the August 8 polls.He will be contesting the Nyali seat as an independent candidate after losing in the ODM party primaries.
