Wiper Democratic Movement Party secretary general Hassan Omar has told the party's members who have been working with ODM that they will not receive any votes during today (Tuesday) nominations.Omar accused the aspirants of openly working with Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho instead of working Wiper members. The Mombasa Senator told off the group of aspirants who were complaining about their names missing in the list of Wiper aspirants, adding they should not expect the party to work with rebels.“They want to squeeze water from a stone, this is politics we and not kids, let them go elsewhere and support Joho if they wish so,” said Omar.He said that Wiper party like any other political outfit has its own rules and regulations and the aspirants should adhere to such rules or leave the party.“No one is sacred, we should all follow the law and rules of Wiper Democratic Movement Party of Kenya, if you feel you are not in the right place kindly go to where you feel more secured,” he said.He added that there are more members joining the party and are ready to work with the party, urging old members to stick to the rules of the party or call it a day. While responding to Omar’s stand, Wiper Party Mombasa County Coordinator Afiya Rama who is also eying the Mombasa Women Representative seat condemned the senator, saying he was only discriminating against her for no reason.“I am equally disappointed that these Primaries will not be free and fair they are only done to fulfill the IEBC laws and guidelines and nothing else,” said Afiya.
