Jubilee leaders in Uasin Gishu county have warned the National Super Alliance (NASA) leadership against planing for any violence before, during and after the Thursday's repeat Presidential election.
Speaking during a final campaign rally to drum up support for President Uhuru Kenyatta in Eldoret town on Monday, the leaders led by Deputy governor Daniel Chemno said those planning to cause violence will be held individually and collectively responsible.
They said Kenyans should be allowed to decide on their own whether they will cast their votes in October 26 poll or not.
"There are people who wish to exercise their constitutional right to vote and should be allowed to do that just like those who don't want to vote will also be allowed to do so," said Chemno."
"...but the opposition leaders, especially in the perceived NASA strongholds, should know that in case there's violence related to the elections those involved will be held individually and collectively responsible," he added.
The deputy governor further asked Jubilee supporters in the county to help the needy and the sick so that they can also vote.On his part, Soy MP Caleb Kositany called for peace to be maintained before, during and after the election.
He also challenged Kenyans to come out in large numbers and participate in the repeat election occasioned by the Supreme Court nullification of President Uhuru Kenyatta's win in the August 8 general elections.
