A section of Kanu leaders from Rift Valley has vowed to block National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale from addressing any meeting in the vote-rich region.
The Independence Party leaders Benjamin Leting, David Chepsiror, Jonathan Bii and Paul Kibet said Duale should keep away from the region.
"We will ensure that Duale does not address meetings in this region. Whenever he visits, he leaves residents upset because he only spews insults," Leting was quoted by the Star during a press conference in Eldoret Town.
Bii said Duale should deal with more serious issues affecting his political future instead of ‘poking his nose into matters he does not understand’.
“He is being investigated for incitement remarks against the Kamba community yet he has never given the list of terrorists in North Eastern as he promised,” said Bii.
The accusations come days after the Garissa Township MP claimed that retired President Daniel Moi was saved from the bush during the attempted 1982 coup.
Duale made the remarks during the burial of former Nominated Member of Parliament Mark Too.
Various leaders from the region including former Cabinet Minister Nicholas Biwott has asked the outspoken MP to apologise for humiliating the former Head of State.
