Kisauni MP Ali Mbogo has termed former Mombasa Senator Hassan Omar's defection to Jubilee Party as political suicide.Mbogo said Omar will soon regret his move to join the President Uhuru Kenyatta-led party.The Wiper MP claimed that Jubilee will dump Omar after using him to achieve its agenda.Speaking to journalists in Kisauni Town on Wednesday, Mbogo said Omar’s political future was bright in the opposition despite unsuccessfully contesting for the Mombasa governor seat.“Omar should have been patient in Wiper because that is where his political journey started and his decision to join Jubilee will turn disastrous soon,” said Mbogo.Mbogo claimed that Jubilee lured Omar with false claims of endorsing him for the Mombasa governor seat in 2022.The MP also criticized opposition politicians who have decamped to Jubilee party, saying they are no longer relevant.He hit out at the Jubilee government accusing it of robbing NASA politicians with the aim of weakening the opposition ahead of the repeat presidential poll.Mbogo, however, said NASA will remain strong despite the recent defections that have rocked the coalition.Omar decamped from Kalonzo Musyoka’s Wiper party and joined Jubilee. The former Wiper secretary general has vowed to campaign for UhuRuto’s re-election in the October 26 repeat presidential election.
