A boy from Wajir County has joined the Kenya Premier League (KPL) on a three years contract.

Abdulkhaliq Mohamed Elmoge joined Ushuru FC after after his talent was spotted by Harambee Stars's coach Stanley Okumbi during Haji Siyad's football tournament that was held in Wajir County late last year.

Elmoge who signed a three-year contract with the club will get a monthly salary of 1,000 US $, draw and win allowances of Shs8000 and Sh3,000 respectively for every KPL or FKL match or organized league or tournament.

Mohamed was officially received by the Head coach Ushuru football Club Kenneth Kenyatta, and he was delighted with the big move.

"Iam very happy to join this wonderful club and I promise to play with all my heart. I say thank you Ushuru fc for receiving me," said Mohamed.

He further thanked Haji Siyad for what he did in his football career.

"I would like to thank Haji siyad for organizing the tournament that helped me reach this level," added Mohamed.

The tournament's organizer and sponsor Haji Siyad urged youths to participate in football activities as talents pays.

" I would encourage all the youths to take part in such activities because talent pays and one has to try it out for future good life", said Siyad.
