An MP has told Deputy President William Ruto to stop chest-thumping and hurling insults to other leaders and instead focus at serving Kenyans.
Emuria Dikirr MP Johana told the DP that at the rate at which he (Ruto) is brushing shoulders with elected leaders, the DP might find it hard to ascend to State House in 2022.
"I want to tell the President to tells his deputy, tell your man to stop his abuses," he said in a video circulating on social media.
"Recently I heard him say (Elgeyo Marakwet Senator John) Lonyangapuo is foolish. One time we were in Narok and he said the late Willian Ole Ntimama is Vasco Da Gama. He comes here in Bomet and calls the governor (Isaac Ruto) garbage. He goes to Baringo and says the Senator (Gideon Moi) is foolish."
"I want to tell him that he is not the president of this republic."
Ruto has of recent been on the spot over his abuses to other leaders especially those in Cord and those in Jubilee but opposed to the ruling coalition.
He has constantly been brushing shoulders with Senator Gideon Moi, Governor Isaac Ruto, Senator Lonyangapuo, and opposition leaders including ODM party leader Raila Odinga and Governor Hassan Joho.
Joho on Sunday said the DP had gone overboard by forgetting developing the country and engaged in name calling.
"Uhuru Kenyatta is the President of this republic," Ngeno said.
"You still have six years to traverse this country to look for votes to get this seat. You are not the president. In 2017 Uhuru is the one who will be seeking to defend his seat not you. Wait for yours in 2022. We shall see if you will manage to bring together all Kenyans."
