Machakos County legal adviser, Boniface Kabaka has warned Machakos Senator Johnston Muthama that his political career hangs on the balance.

Kabaka vowed to beat Muthama come 2017 general elections accusing him of involving himself in petty politics forgetting his constitutional mandate.

“The senator has been involved in ‘pulling back’ other political leaders in the region instead of supporting them. I am the person to teach him a lesson,” said Kabaka.

Kabaka who finished second after Muthama in the last general elections, scored high in his competitor’s Kangundo backyard is up in arms as he uses every opportunity to interact with the electorate taking advantage of his recently awarded docket.

He reiterated that Muthama should understand that the electorate in Machakos County wants leaders who can deliver adding that he is ready for him come 2017.

The soft spoken career lawyer cautioned Muthama, against his persistent attacks on other elected leaders in the area adding that people were tired of rhetoric and archaic political games.

“The senator has shown disrespect and mock to other elected leaders in the county by attacking them publicly on continuous basis for no apparent reason,” he added.

Kabaka was speaking at Makutano primary school in Yatta-Sub county at the weekend were he urged the residents to support the County Government of Machakos under the  leadership of Governor Alfred  Mutua.

But in a quick rejoinder, Muthama speaking in Kaewa, Masinga Sub-county over the weekend, insinuated that the kind of petty politics being experienced in Ukambani region is meant to ruin his reputation and that of Wiper Party leader, Kalonzo Musyoka.
