Mwingi Central Member of Parliament Joe Mutambu has said that Former Kathiani MP Wavinya Ndeti should blame herself after her name was struck out of the Machakos Gubernatorial race ahead of the forthcoming general election.

Mutambu, who spoke during an interview with Citizen, claimed that Ndeti welcomed him to Jubilee only for her to join Wiper, which he compared to a house of cards.

He also said that Ndeti was not sincere when she joined Wiper because she was among the strongest critics of Kalonzo.

“You recall very well if there was a critic of Kalonzo Musyoka, one was Wavinya Ndeti, today they are dining together, he told the local daily.

The lawmaker also said that is interesting to note that Wiper has lawyers who include the Party Leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana and Senator Mutula Kilonzo Junior.  Mutambu, who defected from Wiper, also said that the party has so integrity issues that need to investigate.

He also said that  Kalonzo’s fate as National Super Alliance (NASA) Deputy President will suffer a major blow if anyone goes to court seeking to determine whether the Former Vice  President met the requirements of the law.

The nullification of Wavinya Ndeti’s candidature has already attracted mixed reactions from different factions in the country.

Both leaders of aligned to the opposition and Jubilee have a different story to tell in regard to the Machakos Governorship race. Wavinya was considered one of the strongest competitors of Mutua until her fate was determined. The aspirant, however, still has a chance to appeal the ruling.
