Barely a month to the August general elections, Korane argues that Garissa and other parts of North Eastern will back the re-election of President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto as they seek another term in office.

Speaking to the press in Garissa Town on Tuesday, the aspirant claimed that the region is purely a Jubilee stronghold, adding that opposition’s endless campaigns won’t change the political situation in the area.

“NASA leaders should take their vote hunt elsewhere because North Eastern is speaking the Jubilee language,” he said.

The politician, who is seeking to dethrone the incumbent Governor Nathif Jama, further said that he is confident of victory when that time comes. He is a former Permanent secretary. On his part, Jama has insisted that he will beat Korane and other candidates seeking to unseat him hands down.

He argues that his performance scoreboard makes him an ideal person to transform the region in the next five years. He also claims that he has done a lot during his reign but he needs time to complete the remaining projects.
